The Department of Forensic
Science provides students with broad-based education that encompasses
inter-disciplinary projects and research as well as hands-on training in the
use of forensic tools and techniques. It also provides opportunities to
students to engage in research, both in the classroom and through independent
projects. The Department plays a collaborative role to strengthen the criminal
justice delivery system by collaborative frameworks, exchange of ideas and
training for the Armed Forces, Police, security agencies, judiciary,
industries, academia, and other stakeholders. The Department maintains a high
level of ethical standards such as impartiality, accuracy, and honesty in all
aspects of forensic investigations.
